Design

Designs are governed by the Designs Act, 2000 in India. According to the Act, a Design refers to the shape, configuration, pattern, ornamentation and composition of colors, and it must be new and original in order to qualify for protection, enabling designers to secure exclusive rights over their creations and encouraging innovation within the field of industrial design.
